Defender™ Glyphosate 360 Weed Control

Weeds are the bane of any gardener - it seems like you've just got rid of them all and there's another crop needing your attention! Hand weeding is fine in some situations but for quick knockdown over larger areas, nothing will beat a herbicide spray.

  • Fast and effective control, roots and all
  • Economical, concentrated, non-selective weedkiller
  • Best used when plants are actively growing
  • Doesn't 'poison' the soil

Glyphosate does not remain in the soil. It is de-activated by soil microbes that break it down completely within 2-3 weeks, leaving the soil ready to be replanted

Kills all plants on which it is sprayed. Protect garden plants you want to keep - use a long-handled paint brush to apply to weeds growing among plants you don't want to damage

Absorbed through the leaves

Glyphosate is only absorbed by green plant parts (containing chlorophyll). Apply to leaves and green stems only. Don't waste it by spraying the soil - it's not taken up by roots nor is it absorbed through woody bark.

Apply to growing plants

Once absorbed, glyphosate is circulated through plants in the sap system, which flows best while plants are actively growing during mild to warm weather. It will take much longer to circulate and be less effective during temperature extremes, when plants are either not growing because it is too cold or are heat-stressed.

1L Concentrate

Suitable for

Eradicating plants that are not wanted, including weeds and ornamental plants that are out of control. It is non-selective so will kill everything that is sprayed.

Not suitable for

Do not use to control weeds immediately beneath roses as they may be sensitive to glyphosate sprayed near them or in weed roots close to their own roots

Do not spray if it is raining or about to rain, windy, unusually hot or if plants are wilting

How it works

Glyphosate works by interrupting plants' ability to use sunlight to manufacture food (the process of photosynthesis). Plants that can no longer photosynthsise will quickly starve to death

How to use

  • Driveways
  • Fencelines
  • Garden beds
  • Buildings Rockeries

Soursob 5mL / 1L water Spray soursob when flowering
Broadleaf weeds & grasses (incl kikuyu, nutgrass, paspalum) 10mL / 1L water Use when weeds & grasses are actively growing. Apply to leaves until just wet.

  1. Do not mix more than is needed for the task at hand
  2. Mix only at the recommended rate
  3. Use all mixed spray - the mix will quickly degrade if stored
  4. Do not mix with other chemicals
  5. Use clean water when making up spray (contaminated water may reduce effectiveness)
  6. Do not allow spray to contact or drift on to plants you do not want to kill; if accidently sprayed, hose off immediately to minimise plant injury
  7. Do not disturb sprayed weeds for at least 7 days after spraying
  8. Do not plant seeds or seedlings into treated areas for at TWO WEEKS after spraying

When to use
