Prepare an area prior to laying a new lawn.
Kill off all existing grass and weeds.
Cultivate the area. Combine organic material and sandy loam with existing soil.
Level the area.
Apply a starter fertiliser.
Water well with a light sprinkler.
Lay turf on to moist soil OR apply lawn seed.
Keep area moist until lawn is established.
Kill the existing grass and weeds with a glyphosate herbicide that doesn’t poison the soil.
