Autumn lawn care - 1, 2, 3, 4
- Don't lower the mower cutting blades just because the grass is growing well – the roots need plenty of growth on top to keep them healthy.
- Aerate the lawn - roots need oxygen too! Use a stout pronged fork or an aerating machine that removes plugs.
You can hire an aerating machine for around $100 a day - share it with your neighbours to maximise usage and minimise cost.
- Feed your lawn. If your lawn has not been fertilised since spring or early summer, feed now with Lawn Builder™ Regular to provide nutrition through to spring.
Use a Scotts® spreader
- to distribute the fertiliser evenly
- to ensure an even green lawn with no unhealthy surge growth
- Deal with weeds. If broadleaf weeds are a problem, consider using Lawn Builder™ with Weed Kill to eliminate them.
Remember, DO NOT use this formulation on buffalo grass, including Sir Walter, carpet grass, Santa Ana couch or lawn substitutes like clover, dichondra or lippia.
