Make your lawn environment-friendly!

FIVE tips for environment-aware gardeners.

Father and son enjoy a healthy lawn
  1. Choose drought tolerant grasses such as tall fescue, couch or buffalo grass.
  2. Just remove the top third of the grass when you mow - don’t have the mower blades too low.
  3. Water lawns deeply occasionally when watering restrictions permit, rather than give a light sprinkle often.
  4. Use water efficiently and help conserve water by using
a soil wetting agent such as Hydraflo2® Wetting Agent
or by fertilising your lawn with Lawn Builder™ with Wetting Agent.
  5. Manage your lawn effectively in difficult conditions
    such as drought
    - a well-fed lawn has higher resistance to stress.

Handy hint

Use a slow release fertiliser such as Lawn Builder
to avoid unhealthy surge growth and prevent nutrient run-off to waterways.
